excuse my previous mind blank! i didn't mean shy, as much as i meant... quietly confident, perhaps? because ophelia isn't particularly shy either. these two are very much alike, then, as although ophelia has a lot of enemies, she's a pretty popular girl and very friendly. i totally mind blanked again in regards to lily being best friends with severus, so sorry about that! in that case, i can imagine severus would have told her all about ophelia's family and everything- but that would be great if lily looked passed all of that! i do see these becoming good friends.

well this sounds perfect then! cia can be a little troublesome, so they would have run into each other definitely. i can see acacia looking up to lily in a way, because lily is like the older version of her in many senses, with the opinionated personality and everything.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/blockquote]

I don't know that Lily would know Ella enough to know (wordy) that she wasn't applying herself because of something other than just not caring. But if she thought that Ella was starting to hang out with her out of charity, she'd probably avoid her, not out of rudeness but to let Ella out of something Lily wouldn't think she wanted to do. She would figure she has plenty of friends so she could hang out with them too. Which might actually be kind of funny to start their friendship off that way. Lily would still like Ella because she'd think she was putting up with her out of kindness, but wouldn't want to make her feel like she had to hang out with Lily, if that makes sense.

LILY AND ANDROMEDA

I think having some sort of unlikely friendship eventually would be wonderful. It's not actually very unlikely for Lily I guess due to her history with Severus Snape, but it would definitely not be normal since they're from sort of feuding houses. Lily would definitely try to pick apart Andromeda and try to find some goodness in her. We'd have to tread carefully as far as eventually them being friends though, because Lily does tend to hold a grudge and if she isn't going to be friends with Severus because he called her a mudblood, I think she wouldn't be opposed to holding other grudges against people she doesn't even know that well yet.

LILY AND OPHELIA

I can definitely see Lily getting passed Ophelia's history. If she could be friends with a Slytherin I'm sure she could be friends with a girl who's entire family is in Slytherin. As long as Ophelia didn't get on her case about being muggle born, I think these two could be great friends.

It makes sense to me, don't worry. It's not so much that she would hang out with Lily out of charity, she'd probably like her before hand, she'll probably just take it as "Hey, I'm doing a good deed here", although I would agree that would be quite an interesting way to start off a friendship. And in return it might be kind of good for Ella to find someone who can get her to buckle down a little bit.

Yes, I agree that it will be really fun once we get them going. And I think that Lily will definitely see sparks of something good in Andromeda. I mean, she ends up with a muggle born so she can't be all bad. So I think Lily would try her best to bring that good part out in Andromeda, but she might be a little hesitant at the same time because she might feel like it's a Severus friendship all over again.

I can see Lilly and Rae getting along fairly well as friends. Rae loves a good study buddy, and Rae is not completely a bookworm. Her more playful side just takes some coaxing. I'm Lily and her could get up to something and still remain out of trouble. Rae is good at finding loop holes!

And Lily probably wouldn't get herself into a situation where she'd have to find a loophole to get out of trouble. She isn't one to break the rules if she can help it. She's also very much a bookworm.
