meet marlene. she's in her sixth year, and pretty much invisible to most students, except for her friends, a handful of gryffindors, and the bunch of students who like to pick on her. she's a shy girl who has troubles holding conversations with someone she's not close with - a little socially awkward. she's usually seen at the library or at the lake with a book in her hand. an extremely studious student, she aims to excel in her subjects and manages to do so. you can say she's a little obsessed over grades, because she always wants to be better than her sister. but i guess only those really close to her notice that tiny obsession.

friends;

marlene might not have a large group of friends, but just a handful of her peers whom she'd be very close and loyal to. she'd get along with anyone who wouldn't mind a quiet companion.

lovers;

she's so shy and awkward that i can't imagine her having any ex-boyfriends. but she'd have one or two crushes, whom she might be very nervous and extra awkward around. but she's eventually going to find her final/long-term, so that plot is open.

enemies;

marlene would have plenty of them. she's easily bullied, and while she used to let the mean ones bully her at first, over the years she has learned how to fight back. but she does frequently get picked on. most of the times she fights back, but if she's just having a bad day, she'd just try her best to walk away.

these two would definitely get along. maybe they could've first become friends through lily? i could see them being really good friends! alice isn't incredibly outgoing herself, but she has a tendency to reach out to super shy people. they could also be study buddies. xD

i could see something romantic going on here! will is a really sweet guy and i think he could easily have a crush on marlene. and he wouldn't care at all that she's shy and inexperienced. he would totally awkwardly ask her if she could help him with his homework or something, even though she's a year younger than him, since she's known for being very studious. haha. whatcha think?

yes, i can definitely see them being friends! and they're both most probably dorm mates too. marlene would be close enough with alice to be a little outgoing with her. plus, they're both from Charms Clubs! friends! <3

will and marlene

ooh, that's interesting! marlene would be completely taken aback someone older than her would ask her for help, but she'd more than gladly help. though she'd be awkward all the time till they become somewhat close ^_^ marlene might have a tiny crush on remus, but eventually will and marlene might end up working out. we shall just see where it goes:) i love the idea.
