Ella Trengove
Ella Trengove is a little sixteen year old Gryffindor girl standing at 5'3" with dark brown hair and big green eyes that will on occasion show up amber. She plays Keeper on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Her family is very old and rich and she's the first in a very long line to not be sorted into Slytherin. While the rest of her family believed that being pureblood made you almost godlike and who considered themselves to be above everyone else, so long as they all maintained their very high standards. And then there's Ella who hates purists and absolutely despises the idea of perfection, something that her mother held near and dear to her heart. Her relationship with her parents and older brother and sister are bad but deep down she still wants to be accepted by them and is almost guilty that she's a disappointment. So Ella has since adopted a happy, talkative, and almost stupid mask to hide away the smart, brave, and rather sad girl she is. Her theory is that if she doesn't give any reason to have high standards for her, she won't run the risk of disappointing them.
Friends, buddies, pals, amigos. Ella likes friends. Being on the Gryffindor Quidditch team most people probably know who she is. She didn't get much interaction with kids her own age until she came to Hogwarts but since then she's been working to compensate and become somewhat of a social butterfly. She's pretty nice to just about everyone at first meeting but the closer she is to them she'll show affection with a lot of playful teasing. She likes people who can make her laugh and if you're a nice person, she'll like you too. She'll stay happy-and-go-lucky toward her more fair weather friends but she has to be very close to someone before she starts expressing her feelings more. People will then start to realize that she has a lot more depth to her and is much smarter and more troubled than she lets on. I'd like for her to have at least one person that she could be able to open up with and call best friend.
Ella for the most part tries to be nice to people, but that doesn't always work out and sometimes she’ll end up with an enemy. She generally operates on a three strikes policy but once someone takes those three strikes, or blows it all in one big mess up, she can hold a grudge. In a situation where she doesn't like someone she's usually sassy and sharp-tongued but she can be downright mean if she really wants to. Some might not like Ella because they think she's too much of a ditz, they might think she's fake in the way that she nearly always seems to be smiling, or even a whiny, spoiled, rich brat that doesn't realize how lucky she is. These things are proven wrong when you get to know her but that's what shows up on the surface. As a general rule Ella doesn't like most Slytherins, not so much because of the feuding houses but more because every experience she's had with them hasn't seemed to have gone well in the end. The two types of people Ella hates the most though are bullies and womanizers. She can't stand for either and unless she's in a situation where they have proven themselves changed or she just can't hate them for one reason or another, she will show pretty strong contempt toward them.
Ella is the kind of girl who believes in true love and soul mates. She thinks that somewhere there's a handsome prince charming who's going to sweep her off her feet, into the sunset, and have a happy, unrelated song playing in the background. However it seems that all of her relationships end pretty badly. She's a girl who hates womanizers and people with any forms of commitment issues. In the past she found herself drawn to them more often than not in hopes that she could be the girl that could change them, but she's decided that's just a pathetic waste of her time now. Ella is often oblivious to flirting but if she does notice it she'll usually be quite flattered and flirt back. If she doesn't want anything to do with a guy but doesn't want to be rude she usually just friend-zones him. It might be good for her to find someone that helps give her more realistic expectations, but feel free to sign up for exes, crushes, future boyfriends, or whatever.
