alistair selwyn, the elusive child of the selwyn clan. elusive because above all things, he is unpredictable. someone who is not that difficult to love, but will hold such things at an arm's length, alistair can be equally hot as he can be cold. a logical, rational form of decision making and approach to life has always been the touchstone of his character, one that he quickly tries to lapse back to when the rest of the world is so uncertain. alistair is fairly laid-back when it comes to most things. that is, unless of course you really do push his buttons and get the wrong results. the boy may be one of the more level-headed members of his family but it doesn't mean he has a docile temper .. far from it, he's good at keeping it under a lid most of the time but when he's truly angry - it's like a white hot flame, cool and unforgiving. safe to say, you don't want him holding a grudge against you because you can bet your life that he won't forget it.
alistair has a terribly willful stubborn streak to his personality which off sets his usually level-headed logical trail of thought. he doesn't like to be helped as his stubborn nature comes hand in hand with his fierce independence which can make him a little difficult to deal with at times, especially when he disagrees. his pride and ambition is something that he values very highly and hence why he's made sure to keep it so well-guarded, if anything can get alistair heated into a particularly intense argument or quarrel, it's if someone questions it or tries to belittle him in any way. the boy's trust isn't easily earned but once earned, comes along with a powerful unspoken loyalty to those he considers to be his comrades. he would easily rather die than betray them, for his trust and faith once lost, is indeed lost forever; most of these would probably be slytherin students but exceptions can be made.
part of his life is certainly the enigma that is women. the attention from the fairer sex is what keeps him going. since half way through his fourth year, this young man has been known as one of hogwart's most experienced, cunning and seductive students. he is not afraid to walk up to a lady and ask for a dance. alistair finds that a gentle mixture of audacity and courteous charm are the ingredients for a cozy saturday night. the thrill of the chase and the satisfaction of the feast. it is these that drive him into the social wilderness.
with all that being said alistair needs some of EVERYTHING. friends, a few bestfriends, enemies, ex-girlfriends ( on good or bad terms ), many past flings / one night stands, crushes, etc. just let me know any and all ideas that pass through your mind concerning alistair and your character. that's about it for now .. let's plot !

hi there! so allegra is a year younger than alistair and i could see them being childhood friends. perhaps because they grew up together because of family matters, alistair could be like a big brother to allegra? i think they'd have the type of relationship where they fuck around with each other like sarcastic and can be jokingly mean to one another all the time, but at the same time, she'd trust him, maybe? also, a fun, flirty relationship where it's just teasing and doesn't mean much. i could see alistair being the one to take note of her changed personality, noticing that she's not as joking and fun-loving as she usually is and would kind of try to tease her and what not, but she'd get annoyed or pissy at him and he might be like wtf is up with you?

Awesome ‘A’ names FTW! (: Anyway, Alistair is a year older than Andromeda, but seeing as they are in the same house, they would probably know each other from here or there. Then there is the fact that he is a pureblood, so their families probably run in the same circle, as many purebloods seem to do. I really think they could go any which way. On one hand, I think that they could get along pretty well, seeing as how they have some similarities. Both are very proud and rational and seem to hold on to their grudges. Perhaps a small friendship? That, or we could go the other way and have them dislike each other from a past event between them. I’m pretty much open for anything, so don’t be afraid to change or get rid of anything that I have mentioned.

now back to more serious matters. i also think they would get along pretty well, so i'd prefer if the two were friends. us slytherins gotta stick together. but as flirtatious and promiscuous as alistair is, he can't possibly be friends with an attractive girl like andromeda and not had at least once tried at some point to sleep with her or make passes at her. whether he failed or succeed is up to you, but yeah .. friends is cool with me ! I’m not going to lie; I am partly tempted to have had Alistair succeed in making a pass at Andromeda. Not only would it make their history/friendship more interesting (depending on when it all happened), but I feel as though it would show the more carefree side that Andromeda has buried underneath the portrayal of the dutiful pureblood daughter. But yeah (because we can always work out the details), yay for friends! Also, I need to stop plotting on three hours of sleep. I always feel as if what I type doesn't make sense, lol.

[/b][/font] siblings ftw! so, even though ophelia is a hufflepuff and a 'disgrace to the family' or something, i can just see these as having a typical sibling relationship and probably not interacting much in public- but i think he'd still be protective of her and have her back when she needed it, and she would look up to him despite any teasing/bullying over the years? i imagine they still love each other despite everything, anyway, and i'm not entirely sure how much they'd interact now that phelia's such a disgrace! alistair & acacia ,[/b][/font] acacia is my fifth year gryffindor, and she's a seeker. she's a bit of a firecracker and is always full of energy, and i imagine there'd be some quidditch rivalry between these two just because she adored the sport and is super competitive. i can actually see her as having a crush on him and just attempting to hide it because a) slytherin, b) seventh year and c) out of her league (in her mind, at least). she'd probably try to hide it by hurling teasing abuse at him on the pitch or something i'm not even sure, but i could see it hahaah! alistair & elijah,[/b][/font] well, elijah's a hufflepuff, but if alistair can look past then, i propose that these could get along pretty well too! they both seem quite laidback, and i could see elijah cooling alistair's temper a little, and making sure he keeps it in check...i'm not sure they'd be good friends, per se, but they wouldn't butt heads much, in my opinion![/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/blockquote] |

Like Andromeda, I could see them already knowing each other before Hogwarts, since their families would know one another. I can see them being friends, since Narcissa likes to keep Slytherins close, and he seems like a charming person. I doubt she'd have a crush on him because at the moment she's looking for Lucius but they could definitely have a friendship.
