He killed Elena but he also had to thank her for showing him just how fragile his world was. He quickly remedied the situation. It took centuries, but he amassed an army that covered the globe. Klaus was the face of revolution and changed the world. Now, under his rule, the supernatural do no have to hide and live in fear. There are no hunters. There is no persecution. Vampires, werewolves and witches (as well as ghosts!) now live in harmony with Klaus and his army of hybrids protecting their peaceful balance. Humans? They're right where they belong, serving the superior races.
