LENORE C. TAYLOR
full name: lenore cecelia taylor canon or orginial: original age: 17 year: 7th house: Hufflepuff blood: Half Blood wand: 9 3/4 in. Cherrywood with a pheonix tailfeather core. patronus: Red Fox boggart: Growing old alone; no friends, no family, no one. She's terrified that she won't find friends or people to love her for who she is. She has a difficult time finding people who actually care about her rather than the veela blood in her. erised: to become a world renowned Healer birth place: Belfast, Ireland. However, she grew up in Bristol, England.
------------------------------------------------- Lenore doesn’t know much about the life that she had before she turned 3, it remains a mystery that she wishes to one day solve. What she does know is that her mother was a full-fledged Veela and her father was a wizard [whether he was pureblood or not, she doesn’t know], making their daughter 1/2 Veela. For a reason unknown to Lenore, her biological parents dropped her off at a wizarding orphanage at the age of 3 [well, she doesn’t know if they actually left her there on their own accord or if something happened to them] where she was later adopted by the Taylor family who already had a son her age and a daughter 3 years younger than her, but despite already having children of their own they were looking to expand their growing family.
Growing up there had been no secrets about the adoption, Roberta and Jayson had decided that it was best to tell her from the get go that she was adopted—but that they loved her more than the world itself. In doing this, they hoped that she wouldn’t become some horrible teenager who rebelled against them as soon as she found out that her life had been ‘a lie’ and that she was adopted—this way, she knew from the very start that she wasn’t their biological daughter, and she was okay with that. Or so they thought.
Lenore had always wondered about her biological parents, why had they left her? Was it voluntary or involuntary? Did they love her? Or was she an oops-baby that they decided they no longer wanted to care for? The presence of these questions plagued her mind and instilled the fear in her that maybe, one day, the Taylors would grow tired of her presence in their lives too and drop her off somewhere far away.
Despite her fears, she loved the Taylor family dearly and loved living with them—she and her brother became fairly close, playing silly childrens games together while their parents cared for the two youngest children. While she enjoyed playing outside with her brother, she also enjoyed being inside with her two little sisters; reading to them, teaching them their shapes and colors and ABCs, and just all around keeping them entertained.
As a young girl, Lenore was a decently well-behaved child, there had only been a few mishaps involving temper-tantrums and transformations [and turning into the ugly creature that she had terrified Lenore to no ends! And that was when she decided that she’d be a good girl from then on and try her best to not get angry for fear of becoming a creepy monster].
Fast forward a few years, her brother turned 11 and received his letter to Hogwarts, making Lenore feel a little left out and jealous during the months she had to wait until she too received her letter. Her family threw her a party, like they had done with their son for his birthday as well, Lenore felt as if it was the happiest moment of her life. All throughout her younger years she had feared that her stay with the Taylors would be a temporary thing, logically she knew that they loved her dearly and she loved them back just as much, but the trepidation was always there…
However, the party and all the love that she felt that day helped to cement the thought that there was no way they would ever abandon her like her biological family had.
Her first year attending Hogwarts had been a major disappointment, in more ways than one. First, she had been sorted into Hufflepuff while her brother had gone into Slytherin—she didn’t like being separated from the only person that she knew, and was upset that she wouldn’t get to see him as often as she would have liked.
She made a couple friends, and was a little weirded out by how much attention she seemed to receive, especially from the male population, due to her Veela blood coursing through her. That was also the year her flying career ended. She was learning how to fly a broom and she fell off her broom. Now, she didn't fall from a normal height--her broom had taken her higher than she had wanted and she had no idea how to make it stop or to make it bring her closer to the ground, and she was absolutely terrified! In her fright her grip around the handle of the broom slackened and she lost her balance and plummeted 40 feet to the ground. She was unconscious for a week and a half, suffering from a broken wrist, leg, a couple bruised rips, and a concussion. Needless to say she hasn't flown since.
The years that followed weren’t quite as dramatic and painful as her 1st year had been and she found that she actually liked attending school, though she loved summer vacation even more because it meant that they’d get to spend more time together as a family. They didn’t have that luxury during the school year because her brother was usually busy with his Slytherin friends, her sisters were with their Ravenclaw friends, and she herself was busy with her own friends. So it was nice to be able to be together on vacation, going out to dinner, or going out to places as a family.
During her 5th year her mother fell ill, some muggle disease called cancer and despite the breakthroughs in magically enhanced medicines…there was nothing that could be done. The children were pulled out of school the last few weeks of their mother’s life to stay by her side and watch over her in her last moments, spending sleepless nights situated next to her bed in St. Mungos until she passed in her sleep. It was a tough situation to get through and Lenore made sure that she was there for her father and her siblings, doing her best to be the crying shoulder that everyone needed.
The house seemed quiet after that…their father taking the death of Roberta the hardest, he became engrossed in his work, staying at the office late and coming home in the early hours of the morning. It took another year for things to feel normal again, things picked back up again at home; they saw their dad more often, started doing things together again and all around the air of depression that had settled in over them seemed to have lifted.

” Oh God, the mere thought of what she had to go through at home sent his mind spiraling down a path of anger and sadness, he wanted to help her so bad but the only problem was…he didn’t know how… ” I'm only telling you because... I trust you...”He felt honored, she was putting her trust, divulging her secrets, to a stranger and…no, that wasn’t right, he wasn’t a stranger, not anymore at least. In any other situation, yeah, he probably would have still been in that category, but their quickly forming friendship felt different, a good sort of different. Sora felt so frustrated! Not with her, but with what she was telling him about her father and her home life—it was to the point that he had to fight back the urge to pull out his hair! The islander wanted so bad to help her, comfort her, make her feel better, and get rid of her awful father despite the fact that she mentioned that she couldn’t leave him even if she tried. “ What if you moved in with a friend? That way you wouldn’t have to live with your dad, you’d be with someone who can protect you…?” Her fingers dug into his clothing, unintentionally scraping across the skin beneath the thin material of his tshirt, Sora winced but didn’t think it was important enough to tell her that she was clinging to him too tightly, he just didn’t have it in his heart seeing as she really needed him right now. Sora decided then and there that no matter the situation, whether he was busy or not, he would be there for Alex whenever she needed him. That’s what friends did, right? An amused chuckle passed over his lips, “ Well, in that case, I’ll stay as long as you’d like me to. It’s not like I have anything I need to do anyway.” His lips curved into a bright, goofy grin, “ Though, I have one condition—I want you to smile, no more sadness, kay? Promise?”
[/div]
