HAWTHORNE full name: victor chase hawthorne canon or orginial: original age: 18 year: 7th house: ravenclaw blood: muggleborn wand: 11 1/2 in, dragon claw, rosewood patronus: border collie boggart: Harm coming to his family. erised: To be a professional football (soccer) player. birth place: Birmingham, England. ------------------------------------------------- Victor was born as the first child of Anna-Lee and Andrew Hawthorne on a rainy October night in the city of Birmingham, England. Anna-Lee and Andrew were a young couple who were excited to be starting a family of their own and making a life for themselves. They doted on little Victor and enjoyed bringing him with them wherever they went, spoiling him with affection and his favorite pastries. They introduced him to english football at a young age when his father took him to a field near their home one summer afternoon and showed Victor how to kick around a ball. Victor took an immediate liking to the game and would badger his father every chance he got to go out to the field to play football. When he was 4 years old his twin sisters, Olivia and Isabella, were born—successfully cutting his and his father’s playtime down to almost zero now that his sisters needed constant attention. Despite the fact that he was young, Victor understood that the new babies needed his parents full attention and he would often follow his mother and father around the house, observing the way they interacted and cared for the twins. As he got a little older he began to mimic those actions, helping his parents out with the care of his sisters. Even at a young age, Victor wanted to help people—starting with his parents and the babies and later moving on to the kids in his neighborhood and his primary school classes. Victor became quite protective over his little sisters, always keeping a watchful eye on them whenever they played to ensure that no harm came to them. He liked the responsibility that came from having younger siblings, it made him feel like a grown-up even if he was only 6 years old. When he turned 8 his parents signed him up for one of the local kids football teams where he made new friends with kids his age who shared that same fondness for the sport as he did. As he grew older he took on more and more responsibilities from caring to his siblings, to walking their new puppy, to maintaining a decent grade point average, and becoming the captain of his football team. However, all normalcy that his life had once exuded quickly vanished on his 11th birthday. During the traditional cutting of the cake their small family gathering had been interrupted by an incessant tapping at the kitchen window. When Andrew rose from the dining room table to investigate the origin of the sound he discovered a barn owl holding out his leg and staring up at him with its giant, yellow eyes. Confused and startled, Andrew opened the window and carefully untied the letter, noting that it was addressed to Victor. The letter came as a shock to their family, as far as anyone knew, no one in their family had ever displayed any sort of magical qualities. Though upon further thought, Andrew and Anna-Lee realized that all of those bizarre events during Victor's childhood; moving objects, flickering lights, and whatnot, made so much more sense now that there was an explanation for them... In school he was quite popular, but not in the way that you would think. He was popular with the ladies in that he had a lot of friends that were girls, they trusted him and appreciated his sensitivity and gentle kindness—however none of them viewed him as the type of boy that they’d want to date simply because he was too nice. He was always there to pick up the pieces whenever his girl friends’ had their hearts crushed by the mysterious bad boy that they had ‘fallen in love with’ that month, Victor was always the designated shoulder to cry on. Of course, he didn’t mind this—he loved the feeling of being needed by his friends, he just hated seeing them upset and torn apart. |
