O'SHEA full name: SIOBHAN NIAMH O'SHEA canon or orginial: ORIGINAL age: SEVENTEEN year: SEVENTH house: RAVENCLAW blood: MUGGLEBORN wand: TEN INCH, DRAGON HEARTSTRING CORE, BIRCH WOOD patronus: A RABBIT boggart: Being in complete darkness. That, or something happening to her family. erised: To graduate from Hogwarts and get a job at the Ministry of Magic. birth place: GALWAY, IRELAND ------------------------------------------------- It was on January 20th, ,the exact due date given to them by the doctor, that Rosin and Sean O'Shea welcomed Siobhan into the world. Besides the fact that it was the birth of their first child, there was nothing else about the day that would make it of any significance. The labor had been relatively normal as far as such things go, lasting only ten hours with no pesky complications arising that every parent fears. The end result is a baby girl weighing close to seven pounds; a bundle wrapped in pink. She comes into the world screaming and with a tuft of red hair paired with blue eyes, so different from him but so much like her mother and Sean knows upon sight that he will do anything for this little girl now cradled in his arms. Her childhood is relatively normal. She proves to be the only child the couple will have, not that it bothers Rosin and Sean any because in their eyes, their daughter is all they will ever need. Rosin enjoys dressing her in cute outfits of pink and frills while her father proudly records every giggle and achievement that Siobhan reaches for the first four years of her life. It is a small milestone in the grand scheme of things, but it doesn’t stop her parents from bragging about to anyone within a mile radius who will listen. Her grandparents spoil her rotten, giving her toys behind the back of her parents. It is her paternal grandmother who starts in on the superstitions. In her defense, grandma O'Shea was raised in a much different time, though this hasn’t lessened the embarrassment felt by Siobhan over the years. From the day of her birth, Siobhan was forbidden to wear the color green save for a small ribbon in her hair on special occasions. She was also warned about fairy rings and to avoid them, least she break one and anger the fairy’s who made it. When she was little, Siobhan loved to listen to her grandmother’s stories and, in spite of what she will say now, from the tender years of three to almost five, she believed them. At the age of six however, Siobhan had turned away from the supernatural in favor of the reasonable. Even at a young age, she found an interest in science, in logic, and when her father discovered her reading one of his novels at the age of six, he told his wife that their daughter was destined for greatness. The first time that Siobhan performed magic, it was completely overlooked by everyone except the young girl. It was little things at first, things that in her young age Siobhan would never actually think was a result of magic in anyway shape or form. As a result, she kept the whole think a secret from her parents. Eventually her parents sent her to a local muggle primary school, where Siobhan found she had a desire for learning and typically ranked as one of the students who actually put forth any effort. Her parents where rather pleased with her grades and achievements and had been looking into sending her to a select school when her Hogwarts letter arrived in the mail. Needless to say, it was a shock at first for Sean and Rosin both equally as it was for Siobhan. It was after the young girl came clean about everything that her father and mother were finally able to react with joy at the news. Boarding the Hogwarts express and being sorted where equally terrifying for Siobhan. She was a person who strove to find the rational and logical and anything that left her in the dark had a way of making her panic. The train was halfway to Hogwarts when she started to question if she should even be going to the school. Maybe there had been a mistake and she wasn’t a witch. What would happen if she got there and they turned her away for not knowing enough about magic? In the end, it was a conversation stuck up with a boy her age that calmed her nerves. Life at school turned out to be better than anything Siobhan could have expected. She quickly made friends after being sorted into Ravenclaw, her kind and open nature making her easy to get along with. She did extremely well in the majority of her classes, continuing to make her parents beyond proud though they were often left scratching their heads at her stories. |
