Like any other parents, Mr. & Mrs. Lupin were thrilled to have a boy to carry on their family name. He had a normal childhood, grew up knowing about magic and the wizarding world. With that knowledge came a grave consequence. He was exposed to the magic world and to all it's evil. If it weren't for his father who insulted the werewolf Fenrir Greyback, the poor boy wouldn't have been bitten by the big bad wolf. At a very young age, Remus had become a werewolf. His childhood was a nightmare that he couldn't awake from. Every full moon, Remus would go far away from home and humanity and into the woods before the painful transformations. A werewolf usually bites every human he sees even if they know and love them. In the woods, there was no mankind whatsoever. He ended up scratching and biting himself and causing self harm instead leaving him with bruises all over his body. His parents weren't too sure about sending him to Hogwarts. They were scared about Remus' safety and the student body as well. Thankfully, Dumbledore did not see any danger in letting him attend Hogwarts and welcomed him with open arms. Remus got sorted into the house of lion, gryffindor. He was expecting for the sorting hat to place him there, but in his heart wanted to so badly. The werewolf had made friends on the train to Hogwarts. Those three boys were sorted into gryffindor and remus wanted to be with them. the sorting hat knew right away which house to sort him and luckily it was the one the boy desired to belong in. During his first year, he hid his secret from his friends. For the school's safety, Remus was sent to a shack near hogwarts for his transformations. Being in isolation caused him to harm himself just like before. The villagers of Hogsmeade ended up hearing his screaming of agony and thought it was the sound of angry and violent spirits. Hence the shack's now called the Shrieking Shack. once a month he made the excuse of seeing his mother because she was ill or when he came back from his face was always tired and slightly bruised the only excuse remus could think of then was that he either fell outside or became ill. His secret was out when his friends figured it out in his second year. Remus was afraid they wouldn't accept him anymore, but they ended up surprising him when they decided to become animagi to keep him company during the transformations. Lupin couldn't ask for better friends that james potter, sirius black and peter pettigrew. of course it took them years to fully become animagi since the transformation was too advanced for young students such as them. however, they were able to transform by their fifth year. the group of friends, which are now called the marauders, found a passageway which was a tunnel next to the whomping willow that led to the shrieking shack. being part of the marauders meant remus got involved in their mischief and bullying. he didn't mind participating in their pranks, but bullying was one thing he couldn't tolerate. instead of stopping his friends, remus would just stay behind and watch because they never listen to them. funny enough, dumbledore made him prefect that year in hope he could have more control over them. however, remus would sometimes pretend he didn't see them during their 'activities' as to not give them detention. |

a roleplay sample:
Remus was sat in the library with a pained expression while working on his transfigurations assignment. The reddish pink scar on his left cheek still burned his skin and made him uncomfortable. This was the case every month on a full moon. Moony, his friends nickname for him because of his lycanthropy, would go to the Shrieking Shack and undergo painful transformations and turn into a werewolf. He would end up hurting himself because there are no humans around to cause harm on. Eventually, the frustration had started to tone down a bit thanks to his animagi friends who keep him company but he still keeps scratching himself. In his mind, the frustration will never stop until he actually harms a human being. Of course, Remus is a kind-hearted person who would never hurt another soul, but he can't make any promises during the full moon when his ugly side takes over.
The person sitting next to him wasn't making it any easier. Lupin was asked to help a fellow classmate since they were behind in class. He couldn't understand why Professor McGonagall chose him and not the clever miss Lily Evans. Sure, he was one of the top students in class, but this was unexpected. The student kept asking him stupid questions and Remus being a nice person tried to answer all of them as politely as he could. If he was mean or even a bully like his friends he would most definitely yell idiot at the poor boy which would result into being kicked out of the library by madame prince. The assignment itself could have been finished sooner if it weren't for the hufflepuff asking him questions every few minutes. Lupin explained to him everything that they talked about in class and handed him his notes to take a look, he even recommended him to read a book that would help him. However, this kid was hopeless. In the end, Mooney concluded that he wasn't stupid he just didn't want to make an effort.
at one point, remus turned his attention elsewhere and looked at his surroundings. not many people were there, obviously only the studious ones were. though something had caught his attention that distracted him from answering yet again the boy's question. a short student was trying to reach a book placed on the higher shelves. she seemed to be either in her first or second year. there was a voice nagging him to go help her and so he did. Remus got up from his seat and made his way over to the young girl. "Need some help there?" he said just as he grabbed the book and handed it to her. Her cheeks turned into a light shade of pink probably from embarrassment or shyness and silently thanked Moony for his help. "No problem." Remus replied before going back to his desk with a satisfied smile on his face.
A good deed always made him feel better no matter how small it was. The boy looked like he was about to laugh, but Lupin gave him a slight glare as if telling him to stop. However, he couldn't hold it in and burst out laughing. Remus couldn't understand the humor in what he just did and was about to ask when madame prince showed up. Apparently, laughing out loud wasn't allowed as well so they got their first warning. Two more warnings and they'll get kicked out. "I don't want this any more than you do so let's just continue so we can finish this sooner. I have other things to do." Remus whispered but loud enough so the person could hear. This time, to his surprise, the boy actually listened to Moony and made some sort of effort to finish his assignment.
